The Kite Runner Chapter Activity 4
The best chapter activity for me was the poem. We had to make a connection between a certain theme, scene, or characterization in the book. To be honest, our group thought that it was the easiest one among those activities. But at the end, we found out it was the one of the hardest one. We really thought a lot for the whole poem.
I was the one who considered the scene as an important source of the poem. And Rex was the one who wanted rhyme. But I found out that the poem was better when there were rhyme, and an important scene. So we started to make a combination. Fun thing was that when we were finding the words that end with similar pronunciation, Rex said some ridiculous words. However, we spend many efforts with time. We could have just print it out and hand it in, but that wasn’t really exciting. That’s why we colored the paper with some drawings too.
Even though the poem had only 14 lines, I think that the poem included many important and meaningful things. Lastly, I really felt great to write such a nice poem by ourselves.
