9 Chapters in 2 paragraphs!
Kite Runner is basically a story in which Amir and Hassan having trouble getting along together mainly because of their differences in their social classes. Amir, a Pashtun, doesn't think Hassan as his brother, even though they breast-fed together and lived together since then. Hassan, a Hazarra, is a servant of Baba, Amir's father. He's the son of Ali. Amir doesn't like Hassan, but Hassan wa
nts Amir to like him. Hassan has sacrificed many things for Amir, like the kite he ran so long to get and his virginity, but Amir isn't thankful at all. The more Hassan sacrifices for Amir, the more he doesn't like him. This made Amir lie to Baba saying he lost his watch and hiding his watch and a wad of cash under his mattress.
Hassan lies to Baba and says he stole the stopwatch and the cash, and Baba forgives him. Ali, though, says he should leave. And he does. Amir got what he wanted for so long. All these 9 chapters show how kind Hassan is to Amir, and how badly Amir treated Hassan. The conflict with Amir and Hassan may be a symbol of the conflict between the Pashtuns and Hazarras. The Hazarras were exiled from the major cities, and Ali is leaving to a smaller town. The story is on its climax, and I am eager to finish the rest of the book.
