Favorite Chapter Activity

For the last few months, our class has been reading the book The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini. Instead of just reading the book continuously, we read a few chapters each time and created several chapter activities, some of which include making a painting or drawing, rewriting a scene from the story, or creating a portfolio of photos that related to the chapters in the book. Of all the activities, though, my favourite activity was creating a soundtrack.

For the soundtrack activity, we had to select and list five of our favourite songs that relate to the chapters we were reading about in the Kite Runner. This activity was an excellent activity for me because it made me think critically on how which songs related to which scenes in the novel. Also, identifying songs as a school activity? That is really cool!
