Amir & Hassan vs. Zahed & Najah | Character relations

The Kite Runner:

Amir was born into a wealthy Pashtun family. His father has two servants, his close friend, and almost brother, Ali, and his son Hassan. Ali and Hassan do not have a luxurious life like Amir and his father. Ali and Hassan are Hazaras. Amir does not exactly treat Hassan as a servant, instead he treats him as if he was his best friend. Hassan is loyal to Amir and never leaves his side. He stands up for him. Amir chose to have a relationship with Hassan and treat him not just like a servant, but a close friend. In my opinion it is like Amir chose to be friends with someone who is not the enemy, but someone who is obviously not considered to be the same human as Amir and his father.

My Enemy, My Brother:

In this story, a thirteen year old Iraquian boy, saves an Iranian eighteen year old solider, Najah after his bunker was bombed by the Iranians. Zahed did not have to save Najah. Najah was the enemy, he was the opposite of Zahed, yet Zahed looked pass that and decided to help him. Two people from two opposite sides decided to come together and help one another. They ended up finding one another about thirty years later. They became best friends, as close as brothers. This reminds me of Amir and Hassan. Amir and Hassan were both from different classes of people, but they still were friends.
