Who is Khaled Hosseini?

Khaled Hosseini is an Afghan-born American. Hosseini was born in Kabul, Afghanistan in 1965. His mother was a teacher and his father, a diplomat. His family left Aghanistan, to Paris when he was eleven years old. After graduating college, he worked as a doctor in California. He has published three books, The Kite Runner being the most succesful novel, though all three books were bestsellers. He retired from being a doctor to write full time.
